I have a fiancé that lives in Colombia I take spent months trying to effigy out how to ship money to her without getting slapped with not only commutation rate fees, but processing fees, transfer fees and since nosotros are taking fees, fees. When you think Western Union stores yous initially think expensive, which is why I avoided it. I highly doubt walking into an bodily store or whatsoever other app on the planet would charge less than the $3, I spent on fees. This charge per unit is less than nigh ATM fees and it gives me leverage as to what I can send and the frequency. I couldn't believe it, they also throw in customized e-cards and y'all tin earn "unlocks" as you get. This gives the process warmth. Final idea on this. I think Western Union should offer point to point virtual and concrete debit cards prepaid, checking or otherwise similar to CashApp but with International back up. This would change the game and the earth equally WISE to my knowledge is the only one in the game. As far as this app? It just works and that'due south all I want and you do too.
UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING!!
This is by far the worst experience I take ever had trying to send money… I tried to send $500 to my sister considering she needed money for school clothes and supplies for my 3 nieces. I put all my data in and hit confirm to ship. I and so got a message saying I needed to verify some things, and then I added my drivers license and everything they needed. I got a message saying "your transfer is under review this usually takes 30 minutes apathetic blah blah" a whole twenty-four hours goes by and information technology however said the aforementioned affair. It wouldn't even let me effort to send another one unless I canceled the first one!! Ok my sister actually needs the money at this bespeak so I abolish and try once again. I Become THE SAME Message nearly the thirty min crap. I'thou worried if I cancel it again and try to send a new transfer that i might mess something up. Another twenty-four hours goes past and nothing. I finally merely went alee and used a dissimilar platform just this is absolutely ridiculous!! The sole purpose of this app is to be able to transfer money and so I'm really simply dislocated and highly upset that I wasn't able to and not only that there was no clear reason as to why it was happening I never got an electronic mail or anything. A consummate waist of time and my sister had to wait almost a week and go buy school supplies the night earlier the offset day of school considering of this. I Will NEVER use WU again ever! Deleted the app and not looking dorsum! ✌🏼
Not WORTH IT .
The kickoff time I used it was no event, I've send my mom coin apparently she was blocked from the system I then proceeded to inquire the lady from customer service if she was able to change the name of the receiver and she kept ignoring everything I said. I asked several times if information technology would exist easier to simply change the senders name like they ordinarily do in store and she kept saying that they didn't do that when in the app it clearly stated "call customer service " to edit the name . I ended up getting a re-fund then proceeded to send my dad money none the less had some other problem and called immediately simply to go no reply it's been the 14 time I phone call and take to become through all he options just to go to the point where information technology says " hold in the line for a client service representative " and about v seconds later an operating talking another linguistic communication pops upward and the call is ended out of all fourteen calls just one went through and had me waiting "a couple of minutes " that turned into over a 30 minute wait just for them to never pick up . I then emailed them with the trouble but said I would be contact within 24 hrs ! Are you lot serious ? Only yet cypher ... I've called 3 different numbers of there so claimed 24& 24/seven hr client service wich is a total bs . & here I am struggling simply because obviously information technology would exist cheaper and more than user-friendly when u still finish upward paying more less the same thing .
